Christmas updates for you, and you, and you…Release 35 and Release 36
Santa has really loaded his bag this year. In the lead up to Christmas HosPortal has released 86 new enhancements and improvements in Release 35 and Release 36. It is amazing how productive a software development team can be when you tell them there will be no holidays until they finish their work!

Complete rebuild of our shift conflict rules to allow greater flexibility and power to flag inappropriate shift combinations.
Significantly improved self-roster functions to give more power and flexibility to roster administrators, and greater transparency regarding the impact on each user.
Many changes that have been requested by users to improve efficiency and reduce mouse clicks.
Material expansion and increased power of the ‘teams’ and ‘skills’ functions, including better leave analysis and better ways to send messages and set up meetings.
These are all the result of us thinking every day how we can make our users’ lives more productive and less stressful, and reflect the many pieces of feedback we receive in all our customer interactions. Thanks to those customers who go to great lengths to provide this feedback, and an even greater thanks to those customers who know that we cannot turn around feedback overnight (although sometimes we can*!)
* Thanks to one of our developers for responding to a request to allow leave approvers to automatically vacate any already-staffed shifts when leave is approved. We spoke about this feature at 3pm on a Wednesday and he had it built before he went to dinner that night.
