Dr Chris Jones
Clinical Director and Founder
Chris is a Principal and the founder of HosPortal, leading the business’s technical and clinical activities. He is also a medical practitioner with a medical degree from the University of Sydney. He is a practising clinical anaesthetist and he has been a software designer for over two decades, building and selling medical software on a multitude of platforms. His passion is building beautiful software that users love to use and helps them to achieve more.
Charles is a Principal at HosPortal, leading the business’s operations and commercial activities. He is an active health technology investor. He has previously worked at Macquarie Group where he led the healthcare business banking practice, and has managed professional services and investment management activities in Australia, UK and Hong Kong. Charles has degrees in Computer Science and Engineering, and a Masters in Business Administration.
Senior Software Engineer
Terry is a senior software engineer at HosPortal, developing the next generation of HosPortal’s products. He has worked in both large organisations and small start-ups, and actively involved in building world-class software. His passion is to solve technical problems with productive and high-grade solutions. Terry has a bachelor degree in computer science and technology.
Senior Software Engineer
James is a senior software engineer focusing on the backend of HosPortal’s leading hospital rostering tools. He has extensive experience in developing mission-critical, highly secure and and real-time software, including as the lead entrepreneur in a number of start-up ventures. He is the second doctor to join the team, but the first one with a PhD in mathematical modelling.
Business Development Director
Seema leads HosPortal’s strategy and marketing. She has worked in management consulting with a focus on strategy and operations in the health care sector. She had an earlier career as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and Educator in both public and private hospitals. She has a Masters of Business Administration and is qualified as a Registered Nurse.
Customer Success Manager
Geoff looks after HosPortal’s customer support functions, and supports the management team generally in ensuring customers get the best from HosPortal’s products. Geoff brings a depth of hospital and healthcare expertise to the business: he previously worked as a pharmacist in the dispensary of a large hospital, and subsequently as a drug safety specialist. Geoff has a Bachelor of Pharmacy, and is currently studying a Masters of Information Technology with a focus on cybersecurity.
Ben leads the development efforts for Connect.
